Previously, on Star Wars. It is the end of an era with The Rise of Skywalker concluding the story that George Lucas started in 1977. We have come a very long way, and so have the characters. I don't want to give too much away with the film so I will give simple ratings. Direction: 9/10. Musical score: 10/10. Effects and such: 10/10. Plot: 8/10. Acting: 9/10.
I cried out of sadness, I cried out of pure joy. I recaptured the feeling I had when I was a child and it was all so new and wondrous. I left the theater feeling invigorated and slightly upset that after all this time, even though it felt right to be saying goodbye, it was finally over.
I waited a day to write this review because I wanted time to mull things over. It is early morning, the next day, and what I feel about ROS, and consequently the entire saga as a whole is, it was an honor and a privilege.
